Clover Stroud

CLOVER STROUD AGENT

“A fearless explorer of the human heart, and a writer of incomparable grace and passion,” is how Elizabeth Gilbert describes the work of Clover Stroud, citing Clover’s first memoir, THE WILD OTHER as one of her top favourite books of all time.

Clover writes about the way life feels, mining her own experiences to draw universal truths about what it means to be human. She never shies away from the big topics, and writes with startling honesty about life, death, sex, addiction, motherhood, nature, grief, ecstasy and suffering.

She started her career as a journalist at 24, and since then has written regularly for all the major newspapers and publications, including The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, Vogue, Red, Harpers, Elle, and she frequently appears on the radio or podcasts as a distinctive and singular voice.

Her first memoir, THE WILD OTHER, was shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize, and her second memoir, MY WILD AND SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, was a Sunday Times bestseller. Her latest book, THE RED OF MY BLOOD, was published by Doubleday in March 2022, and also became a Sunday Times bestseller.

Clover hosts a weekly author interview on her popular Instagram page @clover.stroud. She has five children, and before she was a writer, she was also a rodeo cowgirl.

Clover has recently signed a three book deal with Doubleday.
